Go Green, Go Further with the Dodge Avenger FFV

Posted on 11 November 2008

Being the first mid-size vehicle by Dodge to offer all-wheel-drive capability combined with a sport-tuned suspension, performance steering and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Traction Control, the Dodge Avenger offers quality performance attitude.

The Dodge Avenger is also known for its impressive interior which makes it stand out among the competition. Graphic design elements are evident throughout the vehicle’s spacious interior. Carefully matched grains and low gloss levels contribute to Avenger’s rich-looking interior surfaces.

What sets the FFV apart from its standard twin is that it offers flex-fuel engine. This engine accepts both conventional unleaded gasoline and an environmentally friendly fuel called E85[1] that is composed of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent unleaded gasoline.

Moreover, thanks to its dual valve timing, the Avenger FFV’s World Engine delivers optimum performance and at the same time improves fuel efficiency. And because the engine operates more efficiently, it is four percent better. This 2.7-liter V6 engine 189 horsepower and 191 lb.-ft. of torque, providing more low-end torque (at an rpm 850 lower) compared with the 2.7-liter engine it replaces. It also achieves 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

All of these have been set to make you go green towards the environment but still go further on mileage.
