Larger vehicles usually require more fuel.  Therefore fuel economy and a bigger car space are out of question.
But Chevrolet has created a revolutionary vehicle through the 2008 Tahoe Hybrid.  Like any other SUV’s, it hauls loads of passengers and gear, it can pull heavy trailers, and it holds up well to abuse and rugged terrain. But the best part lies under the engines.
A twin of the gas-only Chevrolet Tahoe, some of us might not even give it a second glance.  In fact the only exterior feature that sets them apart are the large “Hybrid” graphics on the side doors and smaller ones on the windshield and rear window.  But would you believe that it can have as much as fifty percent fuel economy?
Yes, compared to its gas-only twin, the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid can blend the power of its system’s two electric motors and 6.0-liter V-8 engine (which uses a specific valvetrain design) smoothly, opting for a fifty percent fuel economy by comparison and can accelerate from a stop without any jerkiness or even engine noise.  It has gas mileage of 20/20 mpg city/highway.
So some vehicles are not what they seem to be after all.  For the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, that is a good thing.  Looking at its ordinary exterior and large car space, you can never guess that it is the top SUV in fuel economy and has some of a green car’s best features.
